O’Shea, who were announced this week as 2017 ARIA nominees for Best Country Release for their latest album 61-615, today release the album’s second official single, ‘I Will Not Give Up’.

61-615 debuted at #2 on the ARIA Country Chart and #16 on the ARIA Albums Chart (all genres) in early August and this single follows ‘Start Over’, which topped the official Australian Country Airplay chart as well as the CMC Top 30 Countdown.

‘I Will Not Give Up’ is an inspirational song about overcoming adversity and not letting setbacks stop you.

“It’s so inspiring to us to see people overcome adversity in their lives. We’re constantly hearing people’s stories on the road and it blows our mind at just how resilient and tough these people are and how they have pushed through tremendous obstacles with shear will power,” says Jay O’Shea.

Having earned an ARIA nomination for the first time this week, the timing of this single release fromO’Shea couldn’t be more appropriate.

“We’re so thrilled about the ARIA nomination! This is the first time for us and somehow it’s perfect timing. Talk about life imitating art. ‘I Will Not Give Up’ is about listening to that voice in your head, ignoring the noise from the nay-sayers, and holding fast to your dreams despite overwhelming odds. I think it’s pretty crazy that Jay got a “D” in year 9 for music, and today we got an ARIA nom right when we release this song!” adds Mark O’Shea.

Earlier this year, O’Shea scored a Golden Guitar win, and APRA nomination for ‘The Truth Walks Slowly (in the Countryside)’ with Midnight Oil’s Rob Hirst.

O’Shea’s new ARIA nominated album 61-615 is out now.
