Midnight Oil To Perform At Special Bushfire Fundraiser 'SOUND RELIEF'
The devastation of the current Victorian bushfires has left few unaffected. In response to our nation's greatest ever natural disaster Australia's music community have banded together for two stadium benefit concerts scheduled to run simultaneously in both Melbourne and Sydney on Saturday March 14, 2009 under the unified banner of SOUND RELIEF.

It’s 21 years since the release of ‘Diesel and Dust’
To mark it's coming of age the album has been digitally remastered and a limited edition release will include a bonus DVD of 'Blackfella/Whitefella', the documentary of the Oils' 1986 tour of remote Aboriginal settlements with the Warumpi Band.
Performance footage on the DVD includes 'Power and the Passion', 'Best of Both Worlds' and 'Read About It' along with film clips for The Dead Heart and Beds are Burning. The hour long doco also features brilliant performances by the Warumpi Band whose song 'Blackfella/Whitefella' gave its name to the tour.

Diesel and Dust is soaked in real gas fumes and caked with real grit; it shakes and roars and throbs like the giant double-trailer trucks that chew up the thin asphalt ribbons and rough dirt tracks stretched across the Red Centre, Australia's desert heart."
